Despite what I wrote in this post. I actually do enjoy watching TV. Reading is like watching a show in your head, it’s the best thing ever. But sometimes I just really want to see some of those books adapted to the small screen. In recent years there has been a boom in the popularity of TV shows over movies and I am all for it.
The Diviners by Libba Bray would be awesome as a TV show.
New York City in the roaring twenties with a dash of supernatural. Sign me up. The museum of the creepy crawlies that the main character’s uncle runs is a perfect buffyesque gathering place. I can draw more parallels between Buffy and The Diviners. The cast of characters is reminiscent of the scooby gang. There is the absentminded professor, the sassy protagonist, the insecure and very untrendy best friend, ect. I think it has the potential to do well on the small screen. *crossing my fingers forever*
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo is a fantasy version of Ocean’s Eleven.
I love me some good heist stories. This would work as either movie or TV show, though I love the characters too much to settle for a movie. The Grishaverse is just so darn interesting. A TV show would be able to explore and expand the world, creating new adventures and focus even more on the relationships between the cast.
Now this one is confirmed, The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater is being adapted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m more excited about this than my birthday and Christmas combined. I hope they don’t mess it up, that would break my heart. My babies should be treated well. Gansey needs to be perfect, I just can’t accept anything below perfection. I hated Adam throughout most of the series, so he can rot, I don’t care. Noah, Ronan and Blue are almost impossible to spoil, so I hope it’ll all work out. AAAAAAAH, it’s so exciting!
